The business idea for UNeed Services was to offer a marketplace where you can easily find and provide urgent 24h domestic services. Connecting something still so traditional, including plumbing or carpentry, was one of the biggest challenges of the project, in which PRIMARIU has been involved since day 1.
One major demand was developing an app capable of facilitating direct contact between customers, service providers, and suppliers simultaneously. Ultimately, the challenge was to give the end-user the ability to quickly and safely call a professional to carry out minor repairs..
PRIMARIU was responsible for developing the technology component of the project. On the one hand, the central management platform incorporates specific areas for providers, suppliers, and for UNeed itself. On the other hand, we have come up with different mobile applications, available for Android and iOS, which are designed for both service providers and the end-user: UNeed Professional and UNeed Services, respectively.
Through georeferencing, it is possible to locate and immediately get in touch. By providing clear identification of all parties concerned, high levels of security are also guaranteed when contracting services. In addition to the georeferencing configurations, multiple integrations were also integrated, such as payment gateways, instant communication tools, as well as systems for evaluating the service or to check availability either online or offline.
Today, UNeed Services has a portfolio of more than 50 companies and offers a list of accredited technicians that can be identified by location, proximity, and availability at the given moment.
In the first month operating - still in a beta phase -, the application had more than 1,000 downloads, projecting more than 100,000 in the next 12 months. In addition to Portugal, UNeed Services has negotiations to implement the service in international markets.
